Be A Range Safety Officer
Range Safety Officers (RSOs) are always needed.
RSOs are volunteers who assure a safe shooting environment on the club’s ranges, as well as providing technical support as needed.
NRA certification is required, which is a one day class with registration available through a link on the NRA’s instructor web site. There is a one-time fee for the class, as well as a periodic recertification fee.
Most of the club’s RSOs volunteer to become part of a monthly schedule serving the rifle and pistol ranges. Other RSOs serve on the trap and skeet ranges, as needed. We serve both members and non-members, depending on the shooting activity and event. It’s good for the club and an enjoyable way to get to know a lot of people in a short period of time.
If you’d like to know more, contact Dale Molnar.
Our next RSO class is scheduled for September 30th!
